Differentiate Foresight, Back sight and Intermediate sight.
Answer
Foresight is the last reading before shifting, Back sight is the first reading, and Intermediate sight is taken in between.
Back Sight (BS) is the very first staff reading taken after setting up the instrument, usually on a point of known elevation (Benchmark). Foresight (FS) is the last staff reading taken before moving the instrument to a new station, representing the end of that setup. Intermediate Sight (IS) encompasses any staff readings taken on points between the BS and FS for detailed topographic profiling.
