Explain race around condition in JK flip flop.

Answer

A race-around condition occurs in JK flip-flops when prolonged clock pulses cause unpredictable, continuous output toggling.

A race-around condition is a fatal timing error exclusively found in basic, level-triggered JK flip-flops. If both inputs are held high () and the active duration of the clock pulse remains significantly longer than the internal propagation delay of the logic gates, the output will continuously and rapidly toggle (0-1-0-1) until the clock finally falls.
