Write short note on FPGA.
Answer
FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) is a reprogrammable digital IC with configurable logic blocks, programmable interconnects, and I/O blocks used to implement any digital circuit.
- CLBs (Configurable Logic Blocks): contain LUTs, flip-flops, and carry logic
- Programmable Interconnect: configurable routing between CLBs
- I/O Blocks: interface to external signals
- Modern FPGAs also include embedded multipliers, block RAM, and hard processor cores (ARM/MicroBlaze)
