Explain the PDCA cycle.
Answer
The PDCA cycle (Deming Wheel) is a strict, four-step iterative mathematical algorithm for continuous process improvement: Plan, Do, Check, and Act.
Plan mathematically defines the absolute goal and metrics. Do executes the plan on a microscopic test scale. Check violently analyzes the statistical data against the plan. Act standardizes the process globally if successful, or mathematically adjusts and repeats the cycle if it fails.
