What is a Trojan Horse?

Answer

A Trojan Horse is malicious software architecture heavily disguised as a legitimate, benign application to mathematically trick users into executing a catastrophic payload.

Unlike a virus, a Trojan does NOT mathematically self-replicate. It relies strictly on psychological social engineering. A user downloads what appears to be a free video game, but upon execution, the Trojan violently opens a hidden backdoor port (e.g., port 4444) granting a hacker absolute remote root access.
