Define OFDM.

Answer

OFDM is a massive multi-carrier architecture that mathematically splits a high-speed data stream into thousands of orthogonal, slow-moving sub-carriers to defeat multipath fading.

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is the absolute core architecture of 4G, 5G, and modern Wi-Fi. It aggressively shatters a single massive frequency band into hundreds of microscopic, mathematically orthogonal sub-carriers. Because they are orthogonal, they do not interfere with each other, completely eradicating Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI).
