The symmetric difference of two sets $A$ and $B$, denoted as $A\oplus B$ or $A△B$, is the set of elements which are in either of the sets and not in their intersection. Formally: $A\oplus B=(A\cup B)-(A\cap B)$ or $A\oplus B=(A-B)\cup (B-A)$.
