An injective mapping (often called a "one-to-one" function) is a strict mathematical relationship between two sets. A function $f:A\to B$ is injective if, for any two distinct elements $x,y\in A$, their corresponding mapped images are also strictly distinct in $B$. Formally, if $f(x)=f(y)$, it absolutely requires that $x=y$. No two domain elements share the same target.
